More Than 1 In 4 With Disabilities Living In Poverty
The number of Americans living in poverty is now higher than ever. To make things even worse, nearly 28 percent of people with disabilities were in poverty in 2010. The new census results released by U.S Census Bureau reveal that 12.5 percent of the general population now lives in poverty. It accounts for 46.2 million Americans, the highest number ever since the government began keeping track 52 years ago.
