About The Rights of Disabled Communities
When we talk about the matter of civilization, we are actually not just concerned with how man has been able to devise newer machinery and build larger buildings. The fact of the matter is that the realization of human rights has been one important element of the current civilization we always talk about. Of course the world today witnessed better spectacles of human right conservations that it did some three hundred years ago. One important example in this regard is that of the disabled community. It was proposed in the last century that disabled individuals of our communities should be considered normal persons and should be given due respect and equal opportunities to participate in the race of life. Earlier, the disabled community was considered more like useless factor for community which never seemed to have contributed towards the betterment of the country. But it is no more the case like that now. We have specialized schools, colleges and universities teaching and training these individuals in different professional courses. We have different job opportunities for these disables candidates and we have positions reserved for jobs in different organizations for these individuals. Thus, it makes a very good sense on the whole. Moreover, there are a number of nongovernmental organizations working around the world which striving hard for the rights and betterment of such persons. These organizations raise funds, generate common awareness and tend to make these individuals more useful parts of our societies. Thus it can be very safely stated that the disabled community in out societies today find a lot of respect and honor and are considered fairly equal to the normal persons and are given equal ranks and opportunities. This is one appreciable step in making this world a place filled with equality, harmony and peace all around!
